Is ABA right for my child?
Common reasons families start looking into ABA
Families often come to us when they notice their child is struggling to communicate, having frequent meltdowns, or finding it hard to connect with others. You might be feeling overwhelmed or just wanting to find the best way to support your child's growth.
Signs that it may be time to ask for more support
- Your child becomes easily frustrated when they can't express what they want.
- Transitions between activities or places are consistently difficult.
- Your child struggles to play with toys functionally or interact with peers.
- Safety concerns, such as wandering or aggression, are becoming more frequent.
When you don’t have a diagnosis yet
You don't always need a formal diagnosis to start asking questions. While insurance often requires an Autism diagnosis for coverage, we can help guide you on how to get an evaluation and what steps to take in the meantime.
How ABA works alongside other therapies
ABA is highly complementary. It works beautifully alongside Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. We often coordinate care to ensure that goals overlap and support each other, rather than conflicting.
Questions parents can ask themselves
- What are the biggest challenges our family faces daily?
- What skills would make my child's life happier and more independent?
- Am I looking for a partner to help me understand my child's behavior?
